This Saturday, July 21, the USAR Hooters Pro Cup roars into Southern National Raceway Park for the Naturally Fresh 250 presented by Awesome Awnings. The 250 lap race will be the only one run on the eastern North Carolina track.
Though the Hooters Pro Cup drivers have seen the track before, it will be a new experience for most on a track that has been repaved only a few months earlier. The speeds promise to be up, as other racing divisions have noticed a half-second increase over the old pavement on the 17 degree banked track.
Also racing Saturday night will be the Allison Legacy Series, who will be running 50 laps. Gates open to the public at 11:00 AM, with an autograph signing on the track at 5:45 PM, and the green flag flying at 7:00 PM.
Tickets are available in advance Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the track office, and also at the gate the day of the race. Prices are $25 for adults, $15 for kids 8-17, and free for children 7 and under. Military personnel admission is $22 with a valid military ID.
